Arrive Delhi

Morning met upon arrival at Delhi Int’l Airport and transferred to a Hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Delhi – Guwahati – Deepor Beel - Guwahati

Transfer to Domestic Airport to board flight for Guwahati, On arrival in Guwahai, meeting and assistance followed by drive to Deepor Bel. Deepor Beel is an interesting bird watching place in Assam. It is an extensive wetland within the municipal limits of Guwahati. The lake here is one of the largest in lower Assam and many water birds are found here like Ferruginous Pochard, Grey- headed lapwing, Greater and Lesser Adjutants, Water Cock, Cinnamon Bittern, Fulvous whistling-duck and Greater Painted-snipe. Later return to Guwahati for overnight stay at the hotel.

Pobitora-Jorhat ( Hoollongapar Gibbon wildlife sanctuary )

After breakfast drive to Jorhat, this Wildlife Sanctuary is named after one of the most endangered primates called Hoolock Gibbon, the only Ape found in India. This sanctuary is more than 22 sq. kms and has the highest concentration of these animal species in the world. It is a unique sanctuary of an isolated forest surrounded by tea gardens and human settlements. Declared a Wildlife Sanctuary in 1997.

 

Apart from its prime inhabitant, wildlife include Elephant, Leopard, Tiger, Pangolin, Assamese macaque, Pig tailed macaque, Rhesus macaque, Stump tailed macaque, Capped langur, Slow loris, Jungle cat, Indian civet, Giant squirrel, Barking deer, Sambar, Wild pig, Squirrels etc. Over 200 species of birds havebeen recorded including the endangered White-winged Wood Duck. Jorhat–Kaziranga

After breakfast drive to Kaziranga, the only National park in Assam situated in central Assam with an area of 430 sqkm.It is the home of the great India one horned Rhinoceros (Unicornis). The landscape of Kaziranga is of sheer forest, tall elephant grass, rugged reed, mellow marshes and shallow pools are hidden many other animals. These animals are very much part of complex ecological balance of the park. Elephant, India Bision, Swamp Deer, Sambar, Hogdeer, Sloth, Hog Badger, Capped Langur, Hoolock Gibbon Jackle, Goose, Hornbill Ibis, Cormorants and many more. After breakfast drive to Nameri, Nameri Tiger Reserve is nestled at the foothills of Eastern Himalayas; it covers an area of 200 Sq. Kms. Situated in the eastern border of Assam valley and mountainous Arunachal Pradesh, it’s a very scenic sanctuary with river Jia Bhoroli bifurcating through.
