Arrival Delhi in the morning. On arrival we will be welcomed by our Escort and transferred to our hotel. Post lunch visit Lotus Temple, Gurudwara Bangla Sahib and India Gate. Overnight at hotel.
Today after breakfast we drive to Vidisha or Besnagar as it called in the Pali sculptures one of the prosperous capital of the western dominions of the Sungas, contain some remarkable antiquities. Later we will visit UDAYAGIRI CAVES: a group of twenty caves, make an interesting presentation of Hinduism and Jainism from Gupta Era between 4th and 5th century AD. Some of the caves are located at the top of the hill. Giant Narasimha sculpture attracts the most interesting part of these caves.. Overnight at hotel.
This morning after breakfast we drive to Bhopal. En route we stop at Bhojpur and Bhimbetka. BHOJPUR founded by the Parmara King of Dhar, Raja Bhoja (1010-1053), and named after him, Bhojpur is renowned for its magnificent Shiva Temple and Cyclopean Dam. The 11th century Bhojeshwar Temple often called the Somnath of North India. The massive patterns engraved on the surrounding rocks suggest that there was a grand architectural plan for the temple. BHIMBETKA ROCK SHELTER The Rock Shelters of Bhimbetka are in the foothills of the Vindhyan Mountains in the central Indian plateau. Within massive sandstone outcrops, above comparatively dense forest, are five clusters of natural rock shelters, displaying paintings that appear to date from the Mesolithic Period right through to the historical period. The cultural traditions of the inhabitants of the twenty-one villages adjacent to the site bear a strong resemblance to those represented in the rock paintings. Later we drive to Bhopal check in to the hotel for overnight.
This morning we visit the Van Vihar National Park, home to tigers, lions and leopards. The State Museum – it has fossils, paintings and rare Jain sculptures. Taj-ul-Masjid is one of Asia’s largest mosques, with white domes, minarets. Evening is at your own leisure to explore the city of Bhopal. Overnight at hotel.
Morning free for shopping. After lunch we transfer to the station to board train to Jhansi. On arrival in Jhansi we drive to the temple village of Orchha. Overnight at hotel.
Orchha is famous for its well preserved temples and palaces set in an open quadrangle. The most spectacular Jehangir Mahal, Raja Mahal and Raj Praveen Mahal dating back to the 16th – 17th Century. It is also a remarkable places worth seeing in Orchha are shrines of Siddh Baba ka Sthan, Janki Mandir and Hanuman Mandir at Ohharedwara. Evening watching Light & Sound show at Orchha is a thrilling experience which takes one through paget of history. Overnight at hotel.
This morning we drive to Khajuraho, built by the Chandela dynasty that ruled Central India for 500 years. Khajuraho has been declared a World Heritage site. On arrival transfer to hotel. The following morning we visit the most famous erotic temples of Khajuraho. Overnight at hotel
Today after breakfast we visit the most famous The Temples of Khajuraho are India’s unique gift to the world. These are fine examples of Indo-Aryan architecture that depict many aspect of Indian life at the time. Which were built in the short span of a hundred years between 950 – 1050 AD. The three main compartments are the entrance (Ardha-Mandapa),assembly hall (Mandapa)and sanctum (Garbha Griha) with geographical divisions are : Western Group, Eastern Group and Southern Group. Morning visit Western group, where as post lunch we will visit Eastern and Southern Group. Evening back to hotel for overnight.
Morning at leisure. Afternoon transfer to the airport to board flight to Varanasi. On arrival transfer to hotel. Afternoon sightseeing tour of Varanasi local market. Varanasi, also known as Benares, is said to be the oldest continuously inhabited city in the world. It is situated on the western bank of India’s holiest river, the Ganges. The spectacular 4 km sweep of the ghats, used mainly for bathing and cremating bodies, is best viewed at dawn. Evening join Arati at the ghat. Overnight at hotel.
Today early in the morning we take boat ride trip along the Ganges, back to hotel for breakfast .Later visit Banaras Hindu University, Sri Kashi Vishwanath Temple and Sarnath. Evening free at your own leisure to explore the city of Varanasi. Overnight at hotel.
Morning after breakfast we transfer to the airport to board flight to your onward journey.
